China Education Television Station (hereinafter referred to as “CETV”) officially started broadcasting on October 1, 1986. It is subordinated to the Ministry of Education and is the only national-level professional TV station. According to the National Cultural Reform Development Planning Outline during China 12th Five-Year Plan Period, CETV is listed as one of the ten major central medias supported during the national 12th five-year plan period.
