Headquartered in Haikou, Sansha TV is a professional TV production and broadcasting institution under the administration of Hainan Broadcasting Group. It has set up two production bases and broadcasting studios in Beijing and Yongxing Island, as well as a correspondent station in Tanmen of Qionghai City, Hainan Province. Strategically identifying itself as a communicator, Sansha TV has been updating the latest news from the South China Sea and promoting and preserving Chinese culture and maritime civilization. Programs offered by Sansha TV include news, reports, culture, life-service and entertainment programs, with a focus on special programs on fine Chinese traditional culture and maritime culture. These programs, providing the audience with brand-new audio and visual experiences by novel topics, diversified forms and innovative styles, have also won many Chinese Journalism Awards and China Radio, Film and Television Awards. Sansha TV has also cooperated with the Voice of the South China Sea Channel of China Radio International in reporting the Media Leaders Roundtable at the Bo’ao Forum for Asia over the past three years. It is also the the only media in Hainan participating in the report of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in 2017.
