Wanda Media is founded in 2010 and is fully owned and operated by Wanda Group. It is the production and distribution side of the integrated Wanda movie synergy, added to the existing Wanda Multiplex Chains which is alreadythe largest and most powerful movie exhibitor in Asia.The team of Wanda Media is a mix of many experienced employees who have been working in the industry for many years of active daily executive involvement in the distribution, marketing and film productions. For the next three years, the company will be distributing ten films and produce eight films annually. With the support from Wanda Group, the company is also seeking to set up slate financing agreements with major Hollywood studios to get the financing and distribution rights for China while seeking to coproduce films with international companies.
Wanda Group has recently acquired AMC, American second-largest theater chain.
